The Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP)
The RHPP is a government scheme designed to encourage homeowners to generate their own heat through renewable energy technology such as solar hot water panels. To help towards the funding of a renewable energy system a grant of £300 is available until 31st March 2013*.

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
Currently around half of the UK’s carbon emissions come from the energy used to produce heat. The RHI aims to reduce emissions by 44 million tonnes of carbon. This will be achieved by replacing existing fossil fuels heating resources such as oil, coal, and gas with renewable energy systems such as solar thermal hot water and photovoltaic electric panel systems.**
- The tariff rate and start date should shortly be finalised for domestic thermal installations.
- The rate will be index-linked.
- The Renewable Heat Incentive is expected to be available for 20 years.
- The rate will also be tax-free!
