Solar Fusion is Carbon Neutral!

Unlike the majority of solar energy companies (most of whom were only created following the launch of the renewable energy tariffs), Solar Fusion are passionately dedicated to fighting climate change.

As part of our drive to be environmentally sustainable, we have taken the most ethical approach to becoming carbon neutral by offsetting our unavoidable carbon emissions in partnership with Carbon Retirement. Carbon Retirement offer an innovative and 100% effective way of offsetting, driving the de-carbonisation of heavy polluting industry in Europe.

As a result of this, we are delighted to announce that Solar Fusion is now a truly carbon neutral company – the first solar energy company with Carbon Retirement  to be so.

All companies have an unavoidable carbon footprint & our method of offsetting has been approved by the UK Government Quality Assurance Scheme. This scheme recognises the highest quality of carbon footprint measurement and offsets and is awarded to methods of offsetting that adhere to the strictest standards and best practice.

Carbon Retirement buys industrial ‘pollution permits’ on our behalf and permanently removes them from the European Emissions Trading System. These permits are needed by heavy industries that produce the most CO2 in the developed world; so reducing the number available forces companies to reduce their emissions and incentivises investment in low carbon technology. This is the most effective and robust way to take responsibility for our unavoidable emissions because each tonne of carbon that we offset is 100% guaranteed to reduce net global emissions by exactly one tonne. It tackles the problem of high developed-world emissions head-on and reduces our reliance on fossil fuels, moving us more swiftly to a low carbon economy.
